Taos, NM: A rare opportunity to get a double dose of the history of North Central New Mexico will be available in October 2007. The Historic Taos Inn and the Cumbres & Toltec Scenic Railroad offer a great new discount plan. The inn will offer 10% off available rooms Sunday through Thursday by showing a ticket from the Cumbres & Toltec.

The railroad runs daily between Chama, New Mexico to Antonito, Colorado with a stop for lunch in the stagecoach town of Osier, Colorado. Riders can start at either end of the 64 mile line and catch a bus back to the starting point or take a round trip ride to Osier, the midway point and back to the depot of origination. An overnight in Taos either the night before or the day of the train ride is the perfect arrangement, with the Antonito depot just an hour out of Taos and the Chama depot, two hours away. Enjoy the journey as you aboard America’s highest and longest scenic railroad!

The Historic Taos Inn offers a unique combination of amenities made even more tempting with the addition of eight new guest rooms and suites to bring their total to 44 luxurious accommodations. Whether dining on gourmet delights in Doc Martin’s, staying in the hotel or listening to Spanish guitar in the Adobe Bar the tradition of the Taos Inn being the place for culture in the town known for culture, style and art continues.
