How To Book

Our trains depart daily out of our two depots at 10AM from Antonito, CO and Chama, NM. You can ride out of either depots and go half way up the route to Osier, our lunch stop and return. Or you can ride all the way through the 64 mile route from either Antonito to Chama or Chama to Antonito also with a lunch stop in Osier. For those riding all the way through we offer, for an additional charge, a morning or evening bus.

We also offer Special Trains. These range from charter specials to special event trains aboard our Rocky Mountain Express. The themed trains for the Rocky Mountain Express include our Cinder Bear Express, our Moonlight Dinner Trains, as well as our ever popular Wild West and Fall Foliage Trains. New to the line up this year will be a Sunset Train, complete with a camp fire, BBQ, and entertainment. All of our themed trains leave out of Chama, NM and return to Chama, NM. All of our daily departures can be purchased online on our Schedule & Rates page. There are four different ticket options for you to travel out of each depot. We also offer three different classes of travel aboard the C&TS; Coach, Tourist Class and Parlor Car. Detailed class descriptions are listed on our Schedule & Rates page. We recommend reservations be made at least three weeks in advance. The Fall Season is our peak season (September 15-October 10.) At any time you can call

Throughout our season we offer Special Trains and Hot Deals. Special Trains refer to our Charters and themed trains. Hot Deals refer to special promotions, often our discount or added value offerings. These tickets can only be purchased by calling 888-286-2737.
