The Cumbres & Toltec Scenic Railroad offers special group rates for 15 or more persons booked through one person with one reservation. This could be for a wedding party, a birthday celebration, church outing, company parties, educational tours and family or class reunions as well as tour bus operators. The Cumbres & Toltec Scenic Railroad is perfect for groups. Our staff guarantees great service and a great time, every ride. Special Occasions
Special menus and amenities are available for special occasions and themed parties, including barbecues and fund raisers. The Narrow Gauge Caterers staff stand ready to serve up a memorable meal for you and your guests. Inquire about our Kids Birthday parties as well as adult evening receptions in our parlor car—call us at 888-286-2737 for details.

Charter rates are available if you would like to rent or charter a specific rail car or you can even charter an entire train. E-mail Gayle Martinez at gmartinez@cumbrestoltec.com for more information and pricing. This is ideal for those groups looking to travel the C&T as a group but desire a more intimate way of travel. You can do so by reserving your own private car. The following options are available to you:

Parlor CarParlor Car - Experience the train in Victorian elegance in our special Parlor Cars. Our Parlor cars seat up to 20 people. Looking for a unique reception venue? Charter one of our Parlor cars for a special dining experience. The stationary parlor car available at our Chama depot.

Consider renting a Caboose - Ride in the privacy of your own caboose complete with second story viewing. Seats up to twelve people. 

Reserve your own Coach Car - This option is great for corporate gatherings/ reunions and weddings. For groups of 35 or more. Average Cost is $2400—Great way to bring people together!

Charter an Entire Train - This is a special train for that unique gathering. Options include a train full of coaches and viewing car. Great for a private party or special fund raiser. You can choose from cars in our rolling stock to create that special train.

Student and Youth Travel
 Take advantage of our new Student/Scout Rate. For those groups who have riders between the ages of 13-18 yrs of age, we are offering rates ranging from 52.50- 87.50 depending on class of travel-- 30% savings off of the adult rate. This includes Scout Troops as well as Church and School groups who meet this criteria. For those groups who are interested, we offer outdoor classroom learning for youth looking to be a part of restoring one of America's most authentic narrow gauge steam railroads. Call for more details in student travel including experiential learning opportunities. Motorcoach options are additional. Group black out dates do apply. Additional costs apply if student groups desire the motorcoach options.

Performance Venues at heights of over 10,000 feet. Youth Performances can be arranged at both our Cumbres and Osier Depots. Youth can make the hills come alive aboard the C&T!

Group/student friendly menus - Osier Kitchen offers meatloaf and turkey with all the trimmings. A full Salad Bar as well as a variety of choices of homemade desserts available daily. Arrangements for sack lunches can also be accommodated. Special Dietary needs can be accommodated and must be made in advance within 48 hours of your departure date.

Activities - From work days restoring part of American History to hiking, biking, rafting, camping and more - all can be done along the line of the C&T. Private Docents for your group
Would your group prefer a private docent in their car for the duration of the C&TS trip? We are now offering for a modest fee, private docents dedicated to serving your group. The Docent would be there to meet your group and provide that additional TLC--giving your group the VIP treatment they deserve! Our docents would be on hand to provide detailed information not only about the C&TS Line but also on American History and the development of the west, point out the unique geological features including volcanic structures and the not be me missed petroglyphs. Each season brings with it a changing landscape, our docents will be on hand to point out the type of seasonal wildflowers being viewed along the trip. Then of course our docents are there to lead your group through trip tips tending to trip details. They ensure that your groups is comfortable. Part of the VIP treatment includes getting to meet the train's engineer and conductor asking them first hand about what makes this train special. All in all, a great investment for your clients. C&TS Behind the Scenes Shop Tours--See first hand how the C&TS line is a part of living history! Be a part of the preservation of American History! Only available in our Chama Depot, we are offering behind the scenes shop tours. Docents will be assigned to your group providing them with the details on the current shop project. For 2010 you may be able to view the restoration of our 463 Locomotive, fondly referred to as the 'Gene Audrey' Engine. This locomotive is a movie star in her own right, appearing in many Western movies. Hear the stories, learn about steam locomotives-meet the people that are a part of restoring this unique piece of history! Advance reservation must made--call today!

Special train to motorcoach transfer at Cumbres Pass available. The Antonito to Chama train will make a stop at Cumbres Pass at 2:45 p.m. Tour groups may choose to rejoin their motorcoaches at this time, by special arrangement only.
